What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

1. You drop your damaged hard drive or media by our office for a free quote. 2. You give us approval if you want to move forward 3. We recover your data and either copy it onto a device you provide or we provide one for a small fee

How did you get started doing this type of work?

While I was teaching at the University of Louisville, I recognized the need for a data recovery service that wouldn't break the bank. So I started my company and we've performed hundreds of data recoveries!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Two projects come to mind: We recently recovered a business-critical RAID for a company. The IT person and owner were beyond grateful. In another project, a grandmother sent us a thumbdrive where she had the only copy of her grand daughter's wedding. We were able to recover every single phot0. She was elated! These kinds of projects are why we do what we do!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure anyone you hire has had plenty of experience. Improper data recovery can result in data lost forever. So when a hard drive or device is not accessible, turning it off and not using it immediately dramatically improves the chances of a successful recovery.
